There’s a truth I’ve come to trust over the years, one that continues to soften my edges and expand my creative flow:

Leading with heart is easier than being stuck in your head.

I know that might sound counterintuitive. We’re taught to rely on logic, to analyse, strategise, and perfect before we act. But the heart, oh, the heart it whispers a different kind of wisdom. One that’s intuitive, embodied, and surprisingly effective.

Let me share a moment that brought this home.

 The Oracle Deck That Almost Got Overthought

A few years ago, I was dreaming up a new oracle card deck. The concept had been shimmering in my field for a while; elemental archetypes, lunar overlays, poetic transmissions. I could feel the soul of the deck pulsing with aliveness.

But then my mind kicked in.

What if the theme isn’t clear enough?
Should I research what’s trending?
Do I need a market angle?
What if people don’t get it?

Suddenly, the magic felt murky. I was tangled in strategy and second-guessing. The deck’s spirit was still there, but I couldn’t hear it clearly.

So, I paused.
I placed my hand on my heart.
I asked: What feels true right now?

And the answer came like a breeze:
Trust the transmission. Let it lead.

I dropped the spreadsheets. I lit a candle. I let the archetypes speak. And within hours, the deck’s structure, tone, and energy were clear. Not because I forced it but because I listened. The Moon Temple Oracle was born.

When you’re caught in mental loops, the first step is to pause. Place your hand on your heart and ask yourself, “What feels true right now?” This simple act reconnects you to your inner compass. It’s not about ignoring logic, it’s about integrating it with intuition.

Another beautiful way to soften the mind’s grip is through journalling. Let your pen move from your soul’s voice, not your inner critic. Write what feels raw, kind, and resonant. You’ll be surprised how quickly clarity returns when you let your heart speak freely.

Breath is also a powerful ally. Inhale clarity, exhale overthinking. Repeat until your body feels spacious. It’s a gentle reset that invites presence.

And don’t underestimate the power of speaking your truth aloud, even if it’s just to yourself. Heart-led words have a resonance that clears confusion and invites alignment.

Lastly, trust your first intuitive hit. The heart often whispers before the mind starts shouting. Catch that whisper. Honour it.
